The very first step is narrowing down whether the problem is hardware or software. For example: your computer runs slow — that could be an overheating processor (hardware) or malware/viruses (software).
**Hardware** refers to the physical components of your computer, including:

- Memory (RAM)
- Hard Drive
- Motherboard
- Fans
- Power Supply
**Software** includes all the programs installed on your hard drive, such as:
- Windows Operating System
- Anti-Virus Software
- Games
