Best On Site Computer Repair In Tulsa

Few things are more frustrating than a computer that refuses to start. At Fireytech we get calls and onsite requests for this every single day in the Tulsa area.

“Not turning on” can mean a lot of different things, so let’s break it down and show you exactly what to check — and when it’s time to call a pro.

**Important Disclaimer**
Before opening your computer or poking around inside, remember: even when unplugged, components can hold a dangerous electrical charge, and static electricity can instantly destroy parts. If you’re not 100% comfortable, stop and give us a call.

1. The Super-Obvious Checks (You’d Be Surprised How Often This Is It)

- Is the power cord firmly plugged in at both ends (wall + computer)?
- Is the outlet actually working? Plug in a lamp or phone charger to test.
- Are you on a power strip with its own switch that got bumped off?
- Some desktops have a physical power switch on the back of the power supply — make sure it’s on “I” not “O”.
- Bonus: If the whole house is dark… call PSO, not us 😄

2. No Lights, No Fans, No Sounds At All

If you press the power button and literally nothing happens (or it flickers on for half a second and dies), 95% of the time it’s the **power supply** that has failed. Occasionally it’s the motherboard. We test with a known-good power supply on every onsite visit.

3. Powers On, But Nothing on the Screen

- Is the monitor itself plugged in and turned on? (Yes, this happens daily.)
- Are the video cables tight on both ends?
- Is the monitor set to the correct input (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.)?
- Try a different monitor or TV if you have one.
- Pro tip: The monitor will usually show its own logo even if the computer is dead. You’re looking for the computer’s logo or text.

4. Shows POST/Boot Screen, But Never Gets to Windows

Almost always hardware:
- Bad RAM stick
- Failing hard drive/SSD
- Loose internal cable
- Occasionally a dying video card or motherboard

We read exactly where it freezes — that tells us which part is guilty.

5. Windows Logo Appears, But Never Reaches Login/Desktop

Usually:
- Deeper memory problems
- Corrupted or failing drive
- Windows system files gone bad

We carry spare RAM and bootable diagnostics on every truck so we can pinpoint it in minutes.

Bottom Line

If you’ve gone through the basics and it’s still dead (or you just don’t want to risk it), call or text Fireytech at **918-258-FIRE (3473)**.

We’ve been fixing “won’t turn on” computers in Tulsa-area since 1997 — fast, honest, and at a fair price.
