At Fireytech, we’re known for computer repair Tulsa, but low-voltage cabling and network installs are a huge part of what we do—and we love it just as much.
A customer building a brand-new gas station complex in Tonkawa (main store + two restaurants in the same building) called us while construction was still happening. They wanted the entire place pre-wired the right way from day one.
We ran hundreds of feet of Cat5e/Cat6 to every register, office, TV, phone, and the ATM. Restaurants shared the data network but needed separate phone lines, so we kept everything organized from the start.
In the network closet we:
- Terminated all data runs to a clean patch panel
- Terminated phone runs to 66-blocks
- Tested every single cable
- Labeled both ends
- Left generous service loops in the ceiling
- Bundled everything with Velcro for that clean, professional look
Years later the customer decided to move the entire rack themselves. Everything came back up except the ATM. One of our techs drove out, tested the line—failed. Re-terminated both ends—still failed. Replaced the jack—still failed.
Then we found the issue: when the rack was moved, a few cables were dragged across a sharp metal edge and the ATM cable was sliced right through the jacket.
Thanks to the service loop we always leave, we simply pulled the extra slack, cut out the damaged section, re-terminated, and the ATM was back online—no new cable run needed.
A few years after that, the customer switched from traditional AT&T POTS lines to AT&T VOIP. They scheduled the port, then called us to handle the cut-over. Our tech worked the conference bridge with AT&T, re-patched the 66-blocks, and kept every phone number in the exact same location it had always been.
From new-construction wiring to emergency damage repairs to VOIP migrations—we’ve got this customer covered for life.
Whether you need one extra data jack, a phone line moved, a full building pre-wire, or just a reliable computer repair near me Tulsa, Fireytech does it all with the same attention to detail and pride in clean work.
