Stop Huge Email Attachments from Bouncing – Resize Photos in Seconds (Right-Click Magic!)

Ever try attaching vacation photos or phone pics to an email and get that annoying “file too large” error? Or watch Gmail/Outlook take forever to upload 20 high-res images?

Here’s the fastest fix I’ve used literally every day for years: **Microsoft PowerToys Image Resizer** – 100% free, built by Microsoft, and works on Windows 10 & 11 in 2025.

**How it works (takes 10 seconds):**
1. Install PowerToys (free from Microsoft) → https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/install
(Or direct from the Microsoft Store / GitHub releases – super safe)
2. Enable “Image Resizer” in the PowerToys settings
3. Select one photo — or 50 at once — in File Explorer
4. Right-click → “Resize with ImageResizer”
5. Choose Small (800 px), Medium (1366 px), Large (1920 px), or Phone (1080 px) — or type your own custom size
6. Hit Resize → done! It creates copies so your originals stay untouched.

No opening Photoshop, no dragging into apps — just right-click and go. Perfect for email, Facebook uploads, real-estate listings, family newsletters, or anywhere size limits bite.

(The old third-party tool I used to recommend has been officially rolled into PowerToys, so this is the updated, actively-supported version with zero ads or bloat.)

**Bonus quick alternatives if you don’t want to install anything:**
- On iPhone: use the built-in “Small/Medium/Large/Actual” option when attaching in Mail
- On Android: Long-press photos in Gallery → Share → Resize first
- Online (no install): https://www.bulkresize.org or https://compressimage.io
